With all campaigning and voting now finally over, here’s a quick catch-up of our own activities, direct from MMC’s (non-political) party HQ!
The recent General Election meant a long day and night for our live events production team. On behalf of Wirral Council, our tech crew provided AV for all local declarations, big screens with TV election updates and direct sound feeds for national broadcasters BBC, ITV and SKY.
Further winners were also championed at the Wirral Globe School Awards, which we produced for publishing giant Newsquest. This is a favourite event of ours as it celebrates the very best young talent from the region.
Our MD, Andrew Mills, presented two trophies to worthy victors, and at the 2017 Wirral Tourism Awards where we also provided tech and AV assistance, he presented a fitting award to the triumphant team from Ness Botanic Gardens.
The former was filmed extensively on the Isle of Man and presents a behind-the-scenes introduction to the organisation that has highly succesful lottery and gaming licences from Australia to Ireland, Spain to the USA.
Moving very left-field (by subject – not politically), the ‘PPH Butterfly’ features once again in our latest University of Liverpool project. It’s a pioneering medical device that aids the prevention of post-partum haemorrhaging. With an X-ray style format, the fully animated film demonstrates correct usage and will be of vital assistance to health professionals.
We’ve also been putting our 10-metre pole to good use with revolutionary new shots for Peel Land & Property as part part of the on-going Wirral Waters project.
Meanwhile, our exhibition team has enjoyed a taste of Scandinavia. The Mills crew designed and installed Cammell Laird’s stand at the Nor-Shipping show in Oslo. The 36 hour each way trip was certainly a feat of endurance!
So, whatever your next media project, be sure to place your X alongside our name!
